David Sax

David is a transplant to the Phoenix area but promises he got here as fast as he could.

David offers a unique background in research and writing with extensive experience in the world of visual arts and a passion for community action and social justice.

He joined the Collective from New York City, where he worked as researcher and speechwriter at the Roosevelt House Public Policy Institute. While completing work toward a master's degree in American international history at Hunter College, David assisted professor Jonathan Rosenberg, Ph.D. with research for the latter's upcoming book on Cold War musical diplomacy. David's own research interests include public policy, human rights, peace studies, historic preservation and urban development.

David is an inaugural member of Valley Leadership's Leadership Advance program, designed for high potential leaders new to Arizona.

He graduated with a bachelor's degree in fine arts with emphasis in art history from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2005 and completed graduate work, summa cum laude, in American international history at Hunter College in New York City.
